When can I buy COFFEE-MATE Seasonal flavors?

Does COFFEE-MATE contain lactose?

COFFEE-MATE Liquid and Powder do not contain any lactose – they are non-dairy, lactose-free products.

Is COFFEE-MATE Kosher?

COFFEE-MATE Liquid and Powder products are non-dairy and are Kosher according to the Orthodox Union (as indicated by the "O.U." symbol).

As a courtesy, we place a "D" next to the kosher symbol (O.U.) to alert those who adhere to strict religious practices. COFFEE-MATE contains an ingredient called sodium caseinate, which is a milk derivative, though it’s classified as a non-dairy product.

How is this so? When sodium caseinate is processed, it is so materially altered that both dairy scientists and government regulators no longer regard it as a true dairy substance. This is why sodium caseinate can be an ingredient in non-dairy products, according to FDA, regulation 21 CFR 101.4 (d). Sodium caseinate is also not a source of lactose

Does COFFEE-MATE contain trans fat?

COFFEE-MATE Powder contains 0 trans fat. COFFEE-MATE Liquid flavors contain less than 0.5g of trans fat per serving. Although the ingredient statement lists partially hydrogenated oil, the amount is trivial. Therefore, it can be listed as 0 (per FDA guidelines) on the nutritional statement. COFFEE-MATE Fat Free, Sugar Free and Original have a 0 trans fat content.

How should I store my COFFEE-MATE product?

COFFEE-MATE Powder should be stored in a dry, cool environment.

COFFEE-MATE Liquid should always be kept refrigerated.

How long will my COFFEE-MATE product remain fresh?

COFFEE-MATE Powder should be used by the use-by dates found on the packaging. Unopened, COFFEE-MATE powder has a shelf-life of up to 24 months.

COFFEE-MATE Liquid should be used within 14 days after opening or before the use-by date, whichever comes first.

Is the COFFEE-MATE packaging recyclable?

COFFEE-MATE Powder

We encourage consumers to "Please Recycle" as COFFEE-MATE Powder is accepted for recycling in most areas. The container for NESTLÉ COFFEE-MATE Powder is made from a white-pigmented plastic (SPI code #2, high-density polyethylene, or HDPE). There is a significant demand for the recovery for recycling of pigmented HDPE. Thus, there is an opportunity and ability to recycle the NESTLÉ COFFEE-MATE Powder bottles by a majority of American consumers. If you have any questions about recycling in your area, check with your local recycling drop-off center or curbside collection program.

COFFEE-MATE Liquid

While the COFFEE-MATE Liquid bottles are recyclable, most areas, unfortunately, do not accept the Liquid bottles for recycling. The NESTLÉ COFFEE-MATE Liquid bottle is made from a white-pigmented plastic (SPI code #1, polyethylene terephthalate ("tarriff-THAL-ate") or PET). While clear PET containers and bottles have the highest recycling rate of any type of plastic package, this is not yet the case for pigmented (colored) PET. Because of the present state of plastic recycling markets, there is relatively low demand, and therefore fewer recyclers, accepting pigmented PET for recycling. This means that the opportunity to recycle the NESTLÉ COFFEE-MATE Liquid bottle most likely is not available for a majority of American consumers. It may or may not exist in your neighborhood. To determine whether your area is one that offers pigmented PET recycling, check with your local recycling drop-off center or curbside collection program.

What are the requirements for printing coupons?
