If you could travel back in time, what era would you live in? I like where I am now. Facebook. iPhones. Movies on Demand.
How do you unwind after a long day? DVR'd TV with my husband, who always makes me laugh.
Three things you cannot live without…My family, my iPhone, my coffee.
I am a member of the Coffee-mate Brew Crew.
They say inspiration comes in many forms—for me, it comes in a whole kaleidoscope of colors. Bold red. Serene green. Fun fuchsia.
In fact, if life were like a cup of coffee, color would be my double dose of Coffee-mate. It’s how I add my flavor—to my décor, to my outfit, to my outlook.
My magenta wallet is not only cheerful; it’s super-easy to find in my overcrowded purse. The walls in our home are anything but neutral: buttery yellow, yummy gumdrop, refreshing turquoise—it’s hard to feel stressed or depressed in such vibrant surroundings. Even my traditional white wedding gown was treated to a splash of color via a distinctive powder blue sash.
Though I hate to admit it, color is also something of an Achilles’ heel. When I see a collection of lively, multi-hued accessories, I absolutely have to have them—whether they’re practical and necessary (a fabulous set of knives in plucky shades) or pretty but pointless (a spectrum of teeny tiny spoons).
So just when I thought that nothing could make my coffee ritual more delightful (or my wake-up call more impactful), I came across this oh-so-lovely collection of coffee mugs in every color of the rainbow. For the love of my pocketbook (and my husband), I restrained myself to four colors…for now. But it’s comforting to know that other shades (and an assortment of matching plates!) are out there just waiting to join the collection.
Do you feel inspired by color? What are your favorite shades and combinations? Besides Coffee-mate, how do you add your flavor to your life and surroundings?
